Lights beat me to it, but that's what I get for watching a movie before replying.

If the receiver is a 1:1 copy of the real steel that mount should work. There ought to be a "rail" on the left side of the gun as part of the stamped receiver thought it might also be riveted on. Got a photo of the left side of your gun?

http://www.dragunov.net/1p21.html <-link for real steel SVD optic mounts (photos)

The Dragunov, because it still accepts stripper clips of 7.62X54R as a method of reloading, has a "retarded" method of scope mounting which offsets the optic to the left side of the gun. So not only does the shooter have to deal with Height over Bore issues but also the lateral offset of the optic. From what I was able to gather researching this weapon a few years ago Red snipers/marksman had detailed logs of not only ballistic drop of the round at various ranges but also windage adjustments for those ranges. A sexy weapon to be sure, but I have no idea what the Ruskies where thinking when they decided to keep the stripper loading option for their rifle.

Thanks Bishop, lights, but that is the scope and mount I am trying to get away from. I was looking for a mount for the scope I already have. I will take a picture of my gun tonight maybe it will give someone ideas on how to make it work.

I wasn't proposing that you get that scope. I was just using the photos for reference on how the real steel scopes are mounted. So long as you have that rail/bar job on the left side of the receiver you should be good to go with that Picatinny mount you're looking at.

you should use what ever scope you feel comfy with, but the pso-1, a gun specific scope, is one of the most bad-ass scopes I have seen, they even make them for Airsoft whit the "bullet" drop adjustment built in to the  scope plus, the rubber eye piece is set to the eye relief of the scope so you cant help but look through it correctly even in a hurry. The first airsoft gun I wanted was an actual svd, that had been rebuilt to be a gas, airsoft, scope and all, the problem is that the package runs upwards of $750, and it gets shipped from Russia, customs might have an issue or to as well.
The key to remember when examining the nomenclature of the svd is that it is NOT a sniper rifle, just to be sure, THE SVD IS NOT A SNIPER RIFLE,
it is a MARKSMAN rifle, it is meant to directly support a rifleman squad, doubling the effective range, it was built with the Idea that the shooter would
take many highly accurate shots in a short amount of time, while the effective range is quite impressive, it was never meant to be a super long range high precision weapon.

For all of you that were disappointed that you were not shot with my SVD. Now that my scope is mounted, here is what you have to look forward to. Laugh out loud When my arm is better and I can actually hold it, you will have something to look forward too. I surrender
