Well, Papa Wolf has a new gun...  won this auction on ebay.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110510769983&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT yes boys and girls... I have a TM M4 with some nice upgrades...   It's bacon time! I figured based on what i read that putting these puppies together is not that difficult..

of course i am open to assistance as far as reference goes... i.e. rootbeer, lights, chronic, bishop, etc

I got the package today.....

It came with a couple of extras

I will bring everything with me to my next game.....

what are the extras you ask?? Confused

1) dosko sport gun case..... foams gone but still its a case
2) 2 of these http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=254_264&products_id=3130
(these vests were NOT listed as part of the auction...)
3) Isasus throat mic setup.... somewhere between the NT2 with the protective neck wrap or the sniper pro system...

overall I am extrememly happy... yes it will be a couple of more weeks brefore the gun is fully up and operational.... but given what i paid and the value of everything I got.... even if i have to buy a new gearbox and a battery... (the one thing missing... no biggie... )

Sounds like a good deal overall. So what exactly is wrong with it?

not sure... the discription merely said gearbox needed work...  what I will likely do is bteween the crowd in HAL and other resources (i.e. mechbox.com  will figure out what would be the best route to go...  given the anemic velocities of modern stock TM gearboxes i may either boost the spirng i.e 120 or 130 also the TM motor says its a 1000 series motor...   as i mentioned saturday,, one possibilty is to replace the gearbox and if needed the motor...   all in all i feel I got an excellent bargain..

I was wrong on the scope it is a aimpoint style with the riser... needs a new battery methinks...

the handguard is not a full ris just has the bottom slot which is no big deal...  on my Real Steel M4 (which was left behind in Ohio) thatwas the config that i had before I went to a full RIS... as far as the stock... i am considering adding on a stock saddle from CAA if it looks like it will fit otherwise... hmmm the possibilities are endless. down he road I will likly put a tight bore barrel in it, but that won't be for awhile..

For the record the 416 body by King Arms is sweet..

I would recommend you stay under 400FPS with that mechbox.
Here is an example of TM / M120 combo. http://www.humboldtairsoft.com/forums/index.php?action=media;sa=item;in=1346

TM makes great hardware but the Japanese do not use high FPS AEG's due to legal restrictions limiting the maximum power to 1J (about 310FPS with .2g). The motor will do fine up to 400FPS as well. I would recommend cleaning and inspecting your switch assembly, Piston and replacing the stock gears with some higher rated steel ones. Otherwise that should be all you NEED to do to get an old TM up and running like a champ again.

Lights out
